Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage could arguably be the most known massage in the world. It is designed primarily to relax muscles and increase their flexibility by employing a series of firm strokes, glides and kneads.

The strokes are applied with light to medium pressure and the massage usually goes in the direction of the heart and clusters of lymph nodes to stimulate the blood and lymph circulation through the soft tissues of the body.

An improved blood circulation can help the body deliver nutrients and oxygen to the tissues and cells more efficiently and an improved lymph circulation can help it to rid toxins, drain excess body fluids and to fight against viruses and bacteria.

Swedish Massage is a special massage that could help relieve both emotional and physical stress. In fact, it is often prescribed as part of a regular program for stress management.

The massage will stimulate the release of Endorphins, also affectionately known as Happy Hormones or body’s own painkillers. Endorphins and the gentle touches would calm and relax a tensed person and allow him to feel connected, nurtured and loved.

The natural painkillers and the firmer touches of the massage would relieve pain and discomfort associated with muscle tension, fractures, sprains and stiff joints.

With muscles loosened and nerves calmed, one would feel totally relaxed and happy when the massage session concludes.
